In true techcrunch style (Arrington post yesterday) , tell us what sites you found the most use out of and most importantly, WHY!?
Here’s my list of products I use most regularly:
- Google Reader: I would be lost without it and wasting hours of my life going from site to site in an effort to stay up to date on what’s happening out there. It’s usually the first thing I open and the last thing I close.
- Hulu: I am a pretty frequent user of Hulu. I don’t have a ton of time to watch TV but there are those shows that I love catching up on (ie Scrubs!).
- Blackberry: My Curve is by my side at all times. I feel insecure without it.
- Menupages: Living in NYC and being single, I rarely cook. Menupages.com gets at least three visits from me a week.
- Linkedin: Running a start-up and always looking for ways to seek guidance from experts and meet new people, Linkedin is one of those services that I truly can’t live without.

FinestExpert.com - as an investor and as a real estate agent searching for properties investors, this site is awesome (even though only in alpha release). It lets me search for residential real estate by how much they are marked down, by cash flow, or cap rate, and several other financial characteristics in addition to the normal property type and location that you can find anywhere. The other really cool feature is this FE-Score thing. They pre-analyze and rate every property for how good an investment it is and then the pushpins on the map are color coded to match. Any score above 800 is a good to great investment. This is saving me a ton of time already.

Hey Maureen, thanks for sharing!
What solution do you use for property sites? Also, do you have a link to Jay's website or blog? Would love to check it out.

There are two things that set my listings apart, and I wouldn't dream of representing a property without them:
1. Professional photographer Jay Groccia and his "Online Property Showcase." Jay can make even the plainest home look like a palace.
2. Single Property Sites. I create a website for each of my listings, and include a sign rider with the URL of the site on the main sign. Not only is it impressive to the seller, but you can upload plot plans, floorplans, covenants, and other relevant documents so that the site becomes a one-stop shop for everything about the home.

Number one on my list is my blackberry.
Sites I can't live without include the NYTimes (I can spend much of the day on that site), Gmail as that is my primary email web app and my CRM application.
I also use Craigslist which helps me move rentals pretty efficiently.

My iPhone, in large part thanks to PropertyQube has been a HUGE benefit.
Being a twitter junky, TweetDeck is where it's at. It's a hog in every sense, but if you have to Twitter flowing like an IV, TweetDeck is the tool.
For composing blog posts, Windows Live Writer has been the bomb. This tool integrates seamlessly with any WordPress blog (and presumably other platforms) and makes composition such a breeze.
These were all new tools for me in 2008, and I use each of them daily (or nearly so).

I personally feel that without any one of them I am not proving my understanding and command of online/offline marketing expertise. I truly maintain these and a few more.
Overkill? No. Brand domination? Hmmm.

Gene, I love the 5th site!! :)
I have to say I laughed out loud when I came down to "Martinis."
This is a great list. I haven't heard of a couple but I'll surely check them out.
If you had to narrow this list down to 2 (I know...tough!), what would they be?

Hi Dave,
I use everything for branding. The internet has yet to prove to me its power to close business on my behalf, but it sure does help establish who has command of it, in case clients are looking:
Facebook
Naymz
Zolve
Biznik
PropertyQube ( !!! )
Myspace
AsmallWorld.net
Zillow
Realtor.com
HouseJockey
Kijiji
BackPage
Craigslist
Eastside Entrepreneurs
Linkedin
Hi5
Bebo
Local2Local
Twitter
BrightKite
Blackberry Curve
Navigation system in main business car
Google Analytics
Martinis
My table at about 20 of the top restaurants in Seattle.
There's more, but it has to do with utilization of today's products (mostly free) combined with what Realtors really do on the street level.
Take care.
