What's the best neighborhood in Seattle for a young professional? Many people say Belltown but there are so many options

I think I have decided to narrow down my search to Belltown, Queen Anne and Freemont. Any suggestions?

Don't forget South Lake Union. This is the neighborhood development of the decade. Projects to look for include Rollins Street, Enzo and 2200.

Best of luck to you with your search!

My opinion: Key Arena, I hear they may be moving to make condominiums out of it.

Nicole:

Living in Queen Anne and working on the east side is a relatively simple commute. You will likely be using the exit/entrance at Mercer & I-5. To/From Mercer is quickly accessible from I-90 via I-5. I recommend using I-90 to and from the east side. You won't have to cross a lot of traffic lanes on I-5 to connect to I-90. You will have to cross some hairy traffic lanes on I-5 to connect to and from 520.

Please call me or email me. I would really love to help you find your next home in Queen Anne. I will meet you at Pesos in lower Queen Anne!

Regards,

Matt

Thanks, Lorrie and Matt. Basically Im going to live in Seattle but work on the East side. Per another question i asked here, people recommend me taking I90 to the east side. So im looking to get to that pretty easily. Living in Queen Anne sounds fantastic but it's far from I90.

I think at the end of the day, I really like the Queen Anne area and I may pursue that area a little harder. I love the views and the atmosphere there. plus, it's right near belltown and not far from Freemont, all great areas!

If I only had three to choose from I would pick Queen Ann. Beautiful architecture and some amazing views. Give us a better idea of what you are looking for as far as price, commute and lifestyle?

Yes, there are many great neighborhoods for young professionals in Seattle. You need to boil down your lifestyle and decide what kind of nightlife you want, what kind of commute you want, what you can afford, how much living space do you want...in relation to where you work.

Belltown is fantastic. Also, you can't go wrong in Queen Anne, Freemont, Ballard and Green Lake. Don't be afraid to look in West Seattle, too. In my opinion, West Seattle is still untapped, and offers a fantastic lifestyle. Many people will say they fear the bridge. However, in 3 years there has been only one occasion when I wasn't able to cross. The bridge is cake. Alki Beach is amazing, and the Water Taxi to downtown Seattle is a pleasurable 12 minute ride to and fro.
