I've always been a dancer at heart...many of the Latin dances have been my favorites, though anything that gets me moving is fun. However, I must say that more of my "moves" these days are doing spins with my little granddaughter (I love to do anything that makes her giggle...and, thankfully, LOTS of things do that!)
Expertise
Licensed since 1983, my market is primarily the west/northwest suburbs of Chicago. My office is in Bloomingdale, and my market also includes Carol Stream, Bartlett, Roselle, Glendale Heights, Addison, Schaumburg, Winfield, Hanover Park, Streamwood, and neighboring communities (these are realtively small communities nestled very close together, so we're not talking about a very large geographic area). Over the years my business has been fairly equally divided between working with Buyers and working with Sellers. That's provided me with great insights that enable me to be more effective with whomever I represent.
The majority of my clients have been sellers and purchasers of single family residential properties, be they detached homes or attached townhomes, duplexes, condos, manor homes, quads, etc. When I have clients who are interested in venturing into other types of real estate, I want them to have the very BEST service they can get, and rather than try to "handle" business outside my area of expertise, I either refer those transactions to agents I consider expert in those areas or, if the client wants me to be involved, I would work in conjunction with one of those specialists on a shared basis.
In 2007 I became an Accredited Consultant in Real Estate (ACRE). When I "discovered" ACRE, it felt like home to me because the focus was on providing SENSIBLE options to those consumers who WANT to choices. A key component of working this way is that it insures that the consumer understands WHAT THEY ARE PAYING FOR when they make various selections, as well as WHAT THEY ARE NOT GETTING when they make others. For anyone looking for insights into Consulting in real estate (whether as an agent or as a consumer), I'd recommend checking out our joint blog at www.TheConsultingTimes.com.
